The content is fantastic, which is why youre probably considering this app, but the app itself is a mess. It crashes on me daily, with less than an hour of use each day. Theres also no way to search by stories you have listened to so when it does crash, you have to go looking for it again. Its a pity its so buggy. If it worked fine this would be the app to end all apps.

Youd be better off saving your money and frustration, and instead listen to this fantastic podcast through most any podcast management app. Personally I use Sticher and I have this awful app to thank for forcing me to look for something else that actually works. The podcast itself is great, and I bought this app to make listening to the episodes easier. The problem is that the app is clunky and doesnt work that well. Keeping track of listened episodes is not very intuitive, it doesnt remember which show you were listening to when you return on another day, etc, etc. My biggest problem is that at some point the app stops listening new shows. You can pull to refresh as many times as you want to but you wont see any new shows. The only way to fix this is by deleting the app and reinstalling it. The app will again stop refreshing a few weeks later and you have to go through the same process.

I would pay for this app a hundred times over! I would prefer if the app was uncensored, but otherwise I have no complaints! Love The Moth and the stories!

Really a stellar app and easy to work from The Moth. Always love listening to it in the car, biking or just relaxing. Great app!

You know youre onto something good when even your pesky 14-year-old approves. Whenever we need to take car trips longer than 10 minutes my son immediately request that we turn on the moth. In fact as soon as we get into the car he just shouts "MOTH!" Invariably the stories bring up subjects that we might never otherwise discuss. Sometimes they are difficult subjects, sometimes they are questions about our youth, and sometimes he wants to tell a story from his only related to something he just heard. Anyone who has ever had a teenager knows what a triumph it is to engage your teenager and meaningful conversation. The fact that this app is so cheap continually astounds me. The quality and variety of the stories are impressive, and they just keep on coming at no charge! More proof that the best things in life are free.

Storytelling is as old as history itself. There is a reason for this. Storytelling allows us to share in the lives of others. It promotes empathy and shows us how alike we all are.

It is become unusable. Freezes when I try to play downloaded stories

For this apps quality, it should be free. Unfortunately it is very buggy.
